Threatened Species Protection Act

Provides for the protection and management of threatened native flora and fauna. Threatened species are to be listed according to the process set out in the Act. Critical habitats are also to be identified. A strategy for the conservation of threatened species is to be developed which must include proposals for ensuring the survival of threatened species and the identification and proper management of threatening processes. Interim Protection Orders may be made by the Minister.
