Queensland’s Animal Care Law

Animals are special. Have you ever imagined what it would be like if there were no animals on planet Earth? Imagine no pets, no birds in the trees, no fish in the rivers or sea, no animals in the bush, no farm animals, no horses. Yuk! Earth would be a really boring planet without animals.

Because animals are so special, the Queensland Government has made a special law for them. The law is called the Animal Care and Protection Act 2001 (or ACPA for short).
