Invertebrates in the diet of brushtail possums (Trichosurus vulpecula) in lowland forest, Orongorongo Valley

Invertebrate remains were found in 48% of 2596 possum faecal pellets collected monthly in the Orongorongo Valley, near Wellington, over a 4.5 year period. Occurrence of invertebrates in possum diet closely paralleled their natural changes in abundance
