Game hunting in Victoria: Human Safety Legislation

Under the Wildlife Act 1975, it is an offense for a person, other than the holder of a Current Victorian Firearms Licence (or interstate equivalent) and a current Game License endorsed for game birds including duck, to enter or remain on a specified hunting area during particular times over the opening weekend of the duck season.

Unlicensed people, except persons exempted by the secretary, are also prohibited from approaching within ten metres of a hunter, hunting ducks, during permitted hunting times during the duck open season.
