Biosecurity Tasmania (a division of the Department of Primary Industries, parks, water and Environment – DPIPWE) is the lead agency responsible for wildlife management including pest animals and incursions of new invasive species.
The Invasive Species Branch (ISB) within Biosecurity Tasmania has responsibility for the Fox Eradication Program, European Rabbit Control Program, Weed Management Program and administration of the Cat Management Act 2009.
Tasmania has three NRM regional organisations that may develop their own regional strategies and local programs for pest management.
The map shown is divided into the three Tasmanian NRM regions. Click on a region of interest to find out more about groups, agencies and organisations in that region involved in pest animal management.
Some regions are yet to be populated with local group details. We aim to provide contact details of agencies, organisations and groups that are active in pest animal management and can provide people with services, useful advice or assistance – both at policy and practical on-ground levels. If you would like your group or agency listed, please [ CLICK HERE ] to fill out the form and submit your details.
